- GREEK MYTH AND LEGEND: Odysseus, King of Kefalonia? – according to Dr Heinz Warnecke, professor of historical geography in Classical antiquity and of religious studies, as well as various other researchers, the model for Homer’s Ithaca was not modern Ithaki, but Kefalonia. Prof Warnecke is happy to discuss this topic on site and to support the project in various ways. Excursions include: Cyclopean walls, caves, Mycenaean chamber tombs, monasteries, archaeological sites ...
